Responsibilities include:
- Develop and provide terminology management guidelines as needed.
- Research and write definitions where appropriate. Determine the translatability of terms that have context information but no definitions. Be able to recognize and correct conceptual mistakes.
- Understand the interconnectedness and relationships among people, processes, and tools.
- Communicate complex concepts in both writing and verbally (especially over the phone)
- Consult with teams who need specialized help.
- Project management with outstanding communication skills to deliver customized terminology management support to Content Publishing teams.
- Effectively balance and resolve conflicts between quality, schedule, and resources
Qualifications:
- Degree in terminology management, computational linguistics, lexicography, information science, technical communications, or equivalent (advanced degree preferred)
- Demonstrated experience with terminology management tools and database
- Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
- Basic understanding of database design
- Previous experience in content publishing (at least 2 years in an editorial role)
- Understanding of writing for international audiences, machine translation or localization issues.
- Experience working with IT Pro terminology
- Demonstrated skill in negotiations, able to meet deadlines
- Must have excellent interpersonal, organizational & communication skills
Candidates must have a work permit for the United States.
